
A status yellow rain warning has been issued for seven counties, including Wicklow.
The warning comes into effect from 2 o’clock this afternoon and will stay in place until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Other areas affected are Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Tipperary.
Met Eireann says spells of heavy rain is likely to lead to some spot flooding with sleet and snow possible on higher ground.
