Up to 50 millimetres of rain is expected in large parts of the country today, including Wicklow.
A status yellow rainfall warning is in place for Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Tipperary until 5 o’clock this evening, while a similar warning is in force in Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry and Waterford will run until 6pm.
