Lidl Ireland’s Wicklow Town store has reopened after being shuttered for an extensive revamp.The German discount store completely demolished and rebuilt the site, located on the Rathnew road, over the past six months.At 8am this morning customers were finally welcomed back to the brand new store, which now has a 1,700 metre squared shop floor.The new store hosts features such as larger aisles, higher ceilings, a new bakery and electric car charging points in the improved car park.Five new jobs have been created with the refurbishment, which brings Lidl’s Wicklow workforce to a total of 25 employees.To mark the reopening, Lidl Wicklow have donated €1,000 to the Gavin Glynn Foundation which helps families with children fighting cancer
