Ballyrogan Films have premiered two films, “Afternoon in June” and “Summer and Winter”,
An artist-forward film company based in Co. Wicklow, Ballyrogan Films was established in 2015 as a vehicle for director Robert Manson’s debut film “Lost in the Living”, and has since gone on to produce six films including traditional movies, documentaries, and experimental pieces that explore the boundaries of what is possible to achieve through film and art.
“Afternoon in June”, described as a ‘journey through antiquated Europe’, made its debut in Italy as part of Flight / Mostra Internazionale del Cinema di Genova. The film was funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, and it is an experimental documentary comprised of old super 8mm footage depicting a journey through Europe.
“Summer and Winter” also had its world premiere on the 27th of October at Ji.hlava international documentary film festival in the Czech Republic.
Both films will continue to be screened in festivals all over the world.
