Vikings actor Sam Corlett has said that Wicklow's Lough Tay has been his favourite location to film. This news comes from Tourism Ireland's behind the scenes footage of Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla, which was shot in Wicklow. The location was previously used extensively throughout the original run of Vikings. The sequel series, currently available on Netflix, was filmed in Ashford Studios and in numerous other locations around County Wicklow. A second season of Vikings: Valhalla has already been filmed and the show has been confirmed to return in 2023.
