Two men have been arrested after a security alert on a Ryanair flight from Poland to Dublin last night.
The flight was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK after a note was found in the toilet claiming there was explosives on board.
At twenty to seven, the pilot declared an emergency to British Air Traffic Controllers.
British fighter jets were scrambled to escort the plane to Standsted airport.
Passengers were all safely taken off the plane and the aircraft was held at a remote stand last night as Essex Police carried out inquiries.
Police say the pair are being questioned on suspicion of making threats to endanger an aircraft.
