Update Due This Morning On Progress Of Hurricane Lorenzo

As Hurricane Lorenzo continues to travel north-eastwards across the Atlantic, Met Eireann is due to give an update at ten o’clock  this morning on how severely Ireland may be impacted.

Crisis management teams were put on standby last night, following a meeting of The National Emergency Co-Ordination Group.

High seas, strong winds and heavy rain are expected when the Lorenzo makes landfall as a powerful storm tomorrow.
