A man is due in court this morning following the death of another man in his 20s in Co. Mayo.
The victim, named locally as Michael McDonagh, died after being assaulted at a house in Swinford on Monday night.
The suspect, a man in his 30s was arrested a short time later and questioned at Castlebar Garda Station.
he has now been charged and is due before Castlebar district court at half past ten.
