Slips & Falls Cost Councils Around Ireland Over €54m Last Year.

In Wicklow, 105 claims were settled for a total of over 1 point 2 million euro.

Slips and falls cost councils around the country more than 54 million euro last year.

The amount of money paid out in compensation for public liability claims was up 15.7 per cent on 2022 figures.

The number of claims settled by local authorities in 2023 was 3,542 compared to 2,693 in the previous year.

In Wicklow, 105 claims were settled for a total of over 1 point 2 million euro.
