Local residents in Wicklow town say they are opposed to planning that will see a former gym on the shores of the town's harbour demolished, to make way for the development of four apartments.
The gym hasn't been used for a number of years.
The County Council refused planning for the apartments, but An Bord Pleanala gave the go ahead for the development.
Councillor Paul O'Brien says the building should not be knocked down but should be refurnished for local community groups, who are crying out for facilities.
