Wicklow County Council have granted planning permission for the major redevelopment of Coláiste Bhríde in Carnew.
The new campus and sporting grounds will cater for a population of up to 1,000 students.
The next stage will be to prepare the tender documents and to proceed to construction.
Councillor John Mullen says it will help meet the growing demand for places in the area.
