An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for 178 apartments on the former Dell site in Bray.
The site has been lying idle since 2006 when Dell relocated to Cherrywood in South Dublin with the loss of 1,000 local jobs.
Councillor Dermot Daisy O' Brien says this decision is significant.
