NTA’s announced that they have opened a public consultation on their proposed improvements to the Knockananna to Carlow bus corridor.
Wicklow TD Jennifer Whitmore has welcomed the NTA’s announcement that they have opened a public consultation on their proposed improvements to the Knockananna to Carlow bus corridor.
Under the proposals, the NTA plans to introduce a new seven-days a week service between Knockananna and Carlow, providing connections with Hacketstown, Kiltegan, Baltinglass, Rathvilly and Kernanstown.
“This is a great opportunity for some of our most rural communities to have their say and to let the NTA know what they want their bus service and connection to Carlow to look like. The NTA has said that their main focus with these proposed upgrades is to increase the frequency of the service and improve access to public transport in these areas. By taking part in this public consultation communities can help the NTA to make an informed decision regarding the times that these transport services are needed,” commented Deputy Whitmore.
The public consultation will be open until 5pm on Friday November 15th and can be accessed through the NTA website.
