People living and visiting Bray are being encouraged to keep their local environment clean and to think before they flush.
A new video campaign has been launched, urging residents and visitors to make small changes in their flushing behaviour and only flush toilet paper .
The call from Clean Coasts and Irish Water comes after a recent survey found almost one million Irish adults admit to regularly flushing wet wipes and other sanitary items down the toilet.
Irish Water says they still have to remove tonnes of wipes and other items from screens at their treatment plants in Wicklow every month, and a small change in our flushing behaviour can make a big difference.
