New Special Class Approved For St David's Holy Faith School in Greystones

The new class will be operational for the 2024/2025 academic year and will start catering for 3 to 4 children with additional needs.

The school will now begin the process of recruiting teachers and SNAs for this new approved class.

Speaking today, Taoiseach Simon Harris said:

“As a former pupil of St David’s Holy Faith in Greystones I am thrilled they have been approved for a new special class.

“This new class which will cater for 3 to 4 children is hugely welcome.

“I know the principal Simon Carey and the staff have been working so hard to get this over the line.

“Every child deserves state of the art facilities when it comes to their education and St David’s are well equipped to deliver just that.

“The school have further ambitious plans to ensure that the school is ready to cater for more students no matter what disability they have.

“They have my full support in getting these plans delivered.

“St David’s have a reputation of delivering for families and parents in Greystones and they will no doubt continue to do so.

Taoiseach Simon Harris added:

“As a TD for Wicklow I will continue to work with the school, the Department of Education and the National Council For Special Education to ensure St David’s is granted all the supports it needs to cater for children with additional needs.
