107 vacant homes in Wicklow have been returned to the Council’s housing stock at a cost of 1.18 million euro.
The homes have been left vacant, in some cases for an extended period of time, with many in a state of disrepair. However government funding has been used to refurbished the properties, which are being used to house families across the county.
Chair of the Oireachtas Housing committee Wicklow Minister Steven Matthews has welcomed the move and says government funding is available to bring further properties back into the local housing stock.
