The Minister for Social Protection's being urged to allow those under 18 and over 66 access the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
Older people who aren't eligible for the state pension, and teenagers who were previously earning a wage, are excluded at present.
It comes as the Social Welfare Bill is brought before the Dail in a debate later today.
