Wicklow Minister Simon Harris has paid a visit to the Educate Together Secondary School in Wicklow Town to meet with in 5th year who are studying Politics and Society.
Minister Harris had the chance to outline his work, why he chose a career in politics, and a number of issues he is working on in both County Wicklow and nationwide.
Speaking after the visit, Minister Harris said, “I was delighted to have the opportunity to again visit Educate Together Secondary School in Wicklow.”
“This is a really excellent and growing secondary school in Wicklow Town and I am so proud of all the work they are doing.”
“I am very determined to help this school secure a permanent building.”
“The Department of Education is currently examining a potential option in relation to a site, and I understand an architectural consultant has been appointed to conduct an assessment of this potential option.”
“I will continue to work tirelessly until we secure a permanent, fit for purpose, modern school facility for this excellent school community.”
“I was also delighted to have the chance to talk with students today, and crucially to listen to them. To listen to their views and concerns on a variety of issues and to take their questions.”
