Gardaí have carried out seven searches under warrant, and arrested a further four males (a male juvenile, two men aged in their 20’s, and one in his 30’s), in connection with this investigation.
The arrested males are currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at Garda Stations in the Wexford / Wicklow region.
The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting with this investigation.
The 36-year-old father-of-six died following a suspected assault on Sunday evening.
William Moorehouse was found near a playground in Ballywaltrim on Sunday, and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It's thought he may have been stabbed, and gardai from the Technical Bureau recovered what are believed to be weapons following an extensive search in the playground, as well as two primary schools, church grounds and a community centre car park nearby.
That forensic examination has now been completed and the corden of the large crime scene has been lifted.
A post mortem examination is to be conducted by the State Pathologist Sally Anne Collis today - the results of which will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
