Reports in the last half hour says that Mick McCarthy's position as manager of APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus has come to an end after a fourth defeat in a row.

McCarthy only took over APOEL in November, while Byrne has just signed a 2 and a half year deal after leaving Shamrock Rovers.
