Irish Water is to connect residents in Barndarrig, who were placed under a do not consume water notice from early February until mid July, to the Redcross Water Supply, to resolve water quality issues.
The news should come as a welcome relief for the owners of 213 properties in Barndarrig.
Work is due to begin in November and is expected to take between 2 and 4 months to complete.
