A local transport committee has heard Irish Rail want to close the level crossing at Bray DART Station and are considering redirecting all traffic to Seapoint Road and under the bridge at the Harbour Bar.
It's understood the decision would bypass the local council with An Bord Pleanála having the final say on the matter.
Local Councillor Joe Behan says there is still some confusion as to what may happen.
