Road users in Wicklow are being urged to slow down and drive with care this morning. Icy conditions are affecting many secondary routes, following another night of freezing temperatures.
The Sally Gap and Wicklow Gap are closed to traffic because of what gardai have described as treacherous conditions. They’ve also appealed to road users to avoid travel in the upland areas if possible. A status yellow low temperature and ice warning is in place for the entire country until ten o’clock this morning.
