    Health Minister Seeking Assurances Incineration Of Baby's Organs Didn't Happen At Other Hospitals

    The Taoiseach has described the incineration of baby's organs without the knowledge or consent of their bereaved parents, as cruel and unacceptable.

    Cork University Maternity Hospital has apologised for the events which happened at the start of the pandemic.

    RTÉ investigates found that the organs of 18 babies were sent to Belgium to be incinerated.

    Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said it's hard to comprehend what happened

    Health Minister Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly is seeking assurances the practice didn't happen in any other hospitals.
