The Health Minister, Wicklow T.D. Simon Harris is still facing criticism about the cost and delivery of leaflets, which he sent to homes in his Wicklow constituency, providing information about Rugby World Cup match dates.
Earlier this week, Minister Harris was questioned at the Oireachtas Health Committee by Fianna Fáil TD Stephen Donnelly, after was contacted by a constituent who was angered by the leaflet, which arrived through her letterbox on the same day that she received a letter from the HSE, saying her child was facing further delays in receiving therapy.
Minister Harris said the money for the leaflets did not come from public funding. However Deputy Donnelly says the Minister is missing the point being made by this constituent.
