First Phase Of Lifting Some Restrictions Begin Today

Phase one of the government’s plan to ease Ireland's Covid-19 restrictions begins today.

Hardware stores and garden centres along with  electrical, IT and phone sale outlets will all reopen.
The number of new cases of Covid-19 reported yesterday was below 100 for the second day in a row.

Ten more patients have died and 64 more positive tests have been confirmed, the lowest levels since mid-March.
However HSE clinical lead Colm Henry says health authorities have to proceed with extreme caution.
