A new study on commercial property shows the commercial vacancy rate in Wicklow was 12.3% in June 2021, lower than the national average of 13.6%
Of the towns sampled in Wicklow, Arklow had the highest commercial vacancy rate at just under 16%, while Greystones had the lowest at 7%
13.0% of commercial units in Wicklow were classified as providing Accommodation and Food services.
Meath and Wexford were the counties with the lowest commercial vacancy rates in Ireland at just over10%, while Sligo had the highest rate at 20.0%
The report also found that there were higher levels of empty units in the west of the country, compared to Leinster.
