Failures In Health System Putting Hip Replacement Patients At Risk

One in 20 older people who break their hip die in hospital, according to a Geriatric Consultant.

A new report from the Irish Hip Fracture Database highlights system shortfalls around specialist care for patients with a hip injury.
It's found only 17 percent were admitted to an orthopedic ward within the recommended four hours last year.
