The Junior Higher Education Minister is calling on the head of Dublin City Council to apologise for 'condescending' and 'disrespectful' comments.
It's after Owen Keegan suggested UCD students' union gets into the housing market itself.
He made the comments in a letter to the organisation, after it complained about student accommodation being used for short-term letting.
Minister of State, Niall Collins, says the remark was inappropriate.
