Wicklow County Council is seeking planning permission to construct a new bridge over the Dargle river on the tow side of the railway bridge. The application to An Bord Pleanála includes the provision of access roads across the lower part of the old Bray golf course.
Locals have described the images as impressive but there are concerns about the impact the proposals will have on the flood plains and the proposed road widths.
Local resident Noeleen McManus told East Coast FM’s Morning Show it will also have limited use, which won’t really address congestion issues in the town.
