Councillors in Wicklow have voted to increase the Local Property Tax charge by 6 per cent for 2022.
The move will generate over 1 million euro in additional funding for the Council, which its’ claimed will be ring-fenced to support projects in the county, including footpath repairs, public realm initiatives and supporting local community organisations.
Bray Municipal District will receive €261,000 with the other four Districts - Wicklow, Arklow, Greystones and Baltinglass - each receiving €196,000 euro from the increased funding generated.
