Wicklow County Council have signed a contract for design works to take place on a new library in Aughrim.
The planned work will include the demolition of the existing library building.
The current Ballywaltrim library in Bray is also set to benefit from extension works.
Both projects with an estimated price tag of five million euro are due for completion early in 2024.
