Homes in the most expensive areas of Ireland will still cost up to 450-thousand euro under the government's affordable housing scheme.
A bill before cabinet this afternoon examines price caps for local authorities.
It's expected that will be set at 450-thousand euro in Dublin city and Dun Laoghaire.
The next highest cap will be 400 thousand for an affordable home in Fingal, South Dublin, Wicklow, Galway City and Cork City.
The figures still have to be finalised with the Central Bank.
