Blessington Tidy Towns has received a welcome boost for the New Year after the Blessington Cogs Cycling Club presented them with a cheque for €5,400.The funds were raised through the Reservoir Cog Cycle Sportive held last September as 480 riders took on the 125km ‘dog’ and 65km ‘pub; courses, starting and finishing on the grounds of Russborough House. It was named Best Leisure Event of 2019 at the annual Cycling Ireland Awards.The Reservoir Cogs Cycling Club also made presentations to Lacken Community Hall and St. Brigid’s Hospice at the Curragh in County Kildare
