New figures show rental prices in Dublin's commuter counties of Wicklow, Meath and Kildare and are now 35% above their previous high in early 2008.
A new report from Daft.ie shows Rent rose by an average of 6.7% nationwide, in the year to June.
The average rent is now 1,391 euro a month, €361 per month higher than the previous peak in 2008 and almost €650 higher than the low seen in late 2011.
