Here on East Coast FM we are looking at why you should adopt and not shop for a dog!

Over the last year, the demand for man's best friend has surged as we all spend more time at home. Puppy farms are making money, dogs are being stolen and the ones suffering are our dogs.

We'll speak to the local Wicklow rescues, hear from families who adopted a dog and look at animal rights issues and what laws, if any, are there to tackle the growing cruel puppy farms.
