All programme content on East Coast FM (news, talk, music, advertisements, etc) is regulated by Coimisiún na Meán and we adhere to the various codes that are in place from time to time.
Election Coverage
“Fair and objective coverage of issues or elections is absolutely core to what we do at this station as independent broadcasters. Editorial decisions are solely for relevant personnel at this station, and we reserve the right to take decisions on material we broadcast, considering issues including protecting our audiences and staff members, ensuring material is not broadcast which would be in breach of the law, or preventing broadcast of material which would involve a risk of defamation proceedings against us, or potentially relate to hate speech. We may decide to pre-record or decline interviews at our discretion. If we do, we will inform you of the reason for our decision, and of your rights.”
East Coast FM welcomes feedback and invites any listener to make an official written complaint if they reasonably feel that the station has broadcast material which breaches the codes that apply to radio broadcasters. On receiving a valid complaint, this station will respond to the complainant at the address supplied.

In the event that the complainant is not satisfied with the response the complainant is invited to refer the matter to Coimisiún na Meán within 14 days.
