Drivers on the N11 this morning were warned of delays in the Kilmacanogue area due to a car that went on fire. The wreckage has since been cleared.

The particular model of BMW in question had been previously recalled for an increased engine fire risk.

In the warm summer weather, drivers in Wicklow and around the country are encouraged to keep their cars cooled down by taking actions like parking in the shade and by using reflective windscreen covers.
